The U.K.’s Official Charts Company has recently announced the biggest artist albums of 2015 and it should come as no shock that Adele came in at number one.
Even here in the U.S. “25″ has been on the top of the Billboard 200 Albums Chart since it was released. The album’s lead single “Hello” remains at the top of the Hot 100 Chart.
Following behind Adele on the Official Charts list is Ed Sheeran’s “X.” That album also still remains on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart…it’s been there for nearly 80 weeks. This week, it sits at number 27. Ed’s “+” which came out in 2011 is also on the list at number 28. (The album has been on the 200 Albums chart for 175 weeks!)
Justin Bieber’s “Purpose” came in at number five and Taylor Swift’s “1989” came in at number six. Little Mix also made the list at number 11. One Direction’s “Made in the A.M.” the band’s final album before their hiatus came in at number 14 and Meghan Trainor’s “Title” came in at 17.
Also amongst the top 40 were The Weeknd’s “Beauty Behind the Madness,” Ella Henderson’s “Chapter One,” Ellie Goulding’s “Delirium” and Sia’s “1000 Forms of Fear.”
